Kids got me this for Christmas. Super steady and solid. Love the ball head as well. Most of the other stuff that comes with it is fluff. I have used it with my video camera and my Canon 20D with a 28-135mm lens and a battery grip on the bottom. Works as advertised. I have been very happy with it. There is knockoff on the market and my kids got that for my first, it is junk. Get the real Gorilla!!!

Picked this up before a trip out west.
It almost works..... but unless you want to use it as a tabletop device I would just save your money.
Even then just forget about shooting something in portrait orientation.
